Teamraiser password reset

Options

We have an annual event that we are using teamraiser for and most of the participants come back year after year. Naturally, they all forget their usernames and passwords, so I'm wondering is there a way to print out the participants usernames and passwords so that when we hold our kick off registration event, I can easily supply them with it? Thanks!

  • Hi Nicole,

Usually there is default Convio built-in page to serve both purpose in Luminate Online. If that's the case with your settings / configuration you may want to add these two links filled with relative path to domain name of your URL

if from WYSIWYG, put these as the value of the URL

    UserLogin?CMD=ForgotLogin

    UserLogin?CMD=ForgotPassword

otherwise if you feel comfortable adding it through the HTML / plain text editor, the snippet would look something like this

    <a href="UserLogin?CMD=ForgotLogin" target="_blank">Forgot Username</a>

    <a href="UserLogin?CMD=ForgotPassword" target="_blank">Forgot Password</a>

Rest of the reset procedure should then be taken care automatically by the system (including mapping it to who needs / requested that to send the reset password to the email address associated with it) as they follow the steps / instructions given on that page.

    Hope it helps.

    regards,

    Daniel

Hey - Thanks for the reply. The links you suggest are there on the page when they try to login, but it takes them forever to get through the reset process. What I want to do is print out a list ahead of time to bring with me to the registration event that has the email address, username and password the person created for the event last year. I need to be able to quickly flip through and tell the person the info incase they forgot it. At my boss's last company they were able to do this but she doesn't remember how, so I'm trying to see if anyone else has the knowledge. Thanks again. -Nicole

    Hi Nicole,

You could probably pull a report to get their usernames and emails, but I don't think there is anywhere in Luminate that will tell you someone's actual password.  Even in the reset password emails, it is a link to reset the password not the actual password.  They do not display the password for security reasons (not safe).

I appreciate your help too. I guess having a username and email handy can only help. Thanks!!!
