How to track a reorganization at your university

We are a young, evolving university. In just the last couple of years, we added three new colleges and phased out two others. As part of these growing pains, some majors and degrees have changed colleges. For example, a business degree is now under the new College of Business, where up until recently it fell under the College of Professional Studies. Has this happened at your university? How are you tracking this information in the Raiser's Edge? For alumni, we feel it is important to track the granting school for historical purposes and to track the "new school" for solicitation, event, and reunion purposes. Do you agree?
