Query on gifts excluding pledge payments

What is your end goal?  Are you looking for payments or donors with gifts of less than 10K?  If you're looking for donors under 10K, can you just query for cash gifts less than 10K and pledges less than 10K?

 In order to only count CASH gifts, and NOT pledge payments you should include Gift Type in your query,  that way you can choose "one of" and choose Cash, Stock and it will leave all pay-cash, pay-stock etc. pledge payments out of the query.

As Christine said, set a criteria for gift type.  If you use gift type > one of > cash / pledge then your pay-cash will not be pulled.
