New job description Title

Options

Hello,

I am working with my supervisor to create a new job description for the additional work I am doing at our Foundation.  Does anyone have a short, succinct title for someone who:  Admin for Raiser's Edge system, including all query's, export, etc., and also the person who sets up new user accounts, security levels, global functions, stream line manual data entry,... In other words, someone who is the only person everyone else goes to help them find info, create reports, and so on.  I'm also the contact person/negotiator with Blackbaud.  Currently the title is "Technical Expert".  That is too broad.  We're looking for something powerful for the HR folks.  I'm looking to reclass in my position.  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I would google "Database Coordinator" job descriptions and see if that meets your description. Here is a sample: http://www.supportingadvancement.com/employment/job_descriptions/advancement_services/database_coordinator.htm

Sounds like you're doing 'everything' RE.  Is this the only component of your position?  I was thinking Database Administrator but I like other suggestion of Database Coordinator, too.   Some titles I've heard have "donor" in them.

Are you under a specific department?  Does your org have other large databases?  If so, say Development Database Coordinator or whatever your department is.

LOL - to me, anything's going to be better than title of 'technical expert'. [:)]

Adding to JoAnn's suggestions, especially if you have other databases and depending on department name (development, resource development, philanthropy, advancement): Development Systems [Director/Manager/Coordinator/Wizard].  "Systems" conveys a wider range of responsibilities, it isn't always about the database itself.
