Paperless Solutions

Options

Hi, I work for a religious private school, and our filing cabinets are maxed out, so we'd really like to go paperless in the future.  I know that Blackbaud offers Papersave, but we're not sure we'll have the budget for that system.  I also know about MagicFolder, but we really need a solution that connects to Raiser's Edge--but something that's a little easier than saving everything into the Media tab.

What do the rest of you do?  Do you still just do the old school thing of saving paper files or are there some other methods that you're using.  Does Blackbaud offer any other paperless solutions besides PaperSave?

I appreciate your help with this!

We are also on a paper system and would love some input on this. Specifically, we store copies of checks, letters, proposals (w/o the prospect module), and other donor written gift instructions or notes. I took one step toward paperless by saving acknowledgement letters in RE on the gift record (or action if you are doing it in bulk). We were storing even those letters in paper files. For a quick discussion on this process see this forum post: http://forums.blackbaud.com/forums/p/24263/787091.aspx#787091

Check with Papersave again.  I was quoted a very high price to use the system but I was recently at bbcon and went to their booth to ask if they had other options that was more reasonably priced.  Her name is Lu Ann George 877.727.3799 x9515. She said they had something that might work that only cost $50 per month.  I waiting for her to contact me.

Wow thanks, Kim...so it's better to contact them directly instead of going through Blackbaud?
