Migrating Away from RE and Taking Our Recurring Donors to iATS

Hi, we use Raiser's and are considering a migration to another CRM (to be determined).   We have a few thousand recurring monthly donors we don't want to lose.  Raiser's stores the credit card #s and iATS is the processor.  iATS has let us know they are agreeable to setup the recurring plans in their system if we can get them the credit card data.  Of course, security is a top concern.

Has anyone had experience migrating recurring monthly transactions externally to iATS or another payment processor?
