Membership Card Numbers?

We are trying to switch from using Constituent ID #s on membership cards to using unique card numbers for all members.

For example, a Senior Couple membership would share a Constituent ID number but the membership cards themselves would have each spouses name and a unique number. A family of five would have unique cards for all five members of the family - individual names and a unique card number.

The long term goal is to ultimately remove Constituent ID #s from membership cards altogether as well as obtain metrics on individuals within memberships based on age, gender, etc.

Do any of you have experience with this kind of card processing?

Do any of you accomplish this a different way?
