User Options default Query filters

Options

Using Raisers Edge version 7.93.5782.0, previously we were able to exclude deceased in all queries through a User Defaults option. Now we cannot find the option and my queries are no longer excluding decease. Is there a new method?

I haven't heard of default for this.  Only option I'm aware of is to uncheck the box at top of query criteria window for which records to include.

Did find this in knowledgebase.  Seems to be primarily for very old versions of RE.   Will be interested to see if it's an option for user defaults.  Would/Could be useful at times.

How to exclude deceased constituents from query

    Answer

There are two methods to accomplish this.

Method #1 will exclude deceased for ALL queries made by this user.

    7.03.498 and lower

    1. Tools -> User Options -> Query tab

    2. Highlight Advanced on left

    3. At bottom, uncheck "Include deceased constituents"

    7.05.638 and higher

On criteria tab, uncheck Include Deceased.

Method #2: This is to exclude deceased on a per query basis

    1. Filter Deceased Equals No
