Generate recurring gift installments from inactive appeals

I recently made a load of our old appeals inactive, but this seems to have stopped us from being able to generate instalments from recurring gifts associated with these appeals. Obviously this means that we can't inactivate our old appeals.

Being able to inactivate old appeals would make our lives much easier: there would be fewer appeals to wade through and reduced chance of mis-keying during data entry.

We use the "Automatically Generate Transactions/Payments" tool from within the batch screen. Is there a way to tell this tool to include master gifts associated with inactive appeals?

Hi Tom

I confirm that you will need to add an amendment to the recurring gifts to update the appeals on the master gift to the correct value.  This will allow you to inactive the old appeals and still use the automatically generate transactions and payments in batch with getting an error.
