How to get NCOA approved abbreviation version of STATES to export for mailings??

 Can anyone tell me how to get the NCOA approved abbreviated version of the states to export for a mailing?  For years, we have been exporting our mailing lists from RE with the states spelled out in its entirety and our Printer Companies charge to convert the data because it is a manual process.  I have tried to figure out how to pull the data in the abbreviated form to no avail.  Then I tried to change the state table but that table is locked down!  Need Help!  Thanks!!

 It should be something in your optional set up.  As far as I can remember, my exports have always been the 2-letter abreviation, so's my data entry.

 PS - you shouldn't need the list - it's part of RE software.  If somehow you've removed it, you can get the list from the USPS website I'm sure.

Thank you JoAnn! I was able to change the settings through the Tools menu, although the Query Address Processing instructions did not work. Cheers!

 Glad it helped. The only place I see in Tools is under Query.  Not sure what you mean by:

As long as you can get the short description in Export.  Sorry you've dealt with this for years.
