Query on Unused Addressee and Salutations

Is it possible to build a query to find out which addressee and salutation types have never been assigned to a constituent record in our database? We're trying to clean up that field before our capital campaign starts next year, and I'm not quite sure where to start on that one.

    The fastest (and easiest) way is not to run a query, but to attempt to delete the addressee/salutation code. If it is in use anywhere in your database, you will not be able to delete it. Of course, it is tricky to run a query to see which records have a particular addressee/salutation code so you can change them in order to delete an extraneous addressee/salutation, but it can be done.

    As Carol said, trying to delete the add/sal type will show you if it's in use, that's assuming you want the format deleted.  To find where the add/sal is in use you need a query that looks for that add/sal in constituent, individual relationships of all kinds including contacts etc. Have to be thinking of everywhere an add/sal can be entered. 

    I will say, I don't use all the add/sal available in RE.  I have the formats I use renamed/coded as the top of the list.  As I'm pretty much set in what we use now, I should go in and delete the unused ones - will put it on 'to do' list :)
