using BBMS to process credit cards outside of the development office

Does anyone use BBMS/BBNC to process credit cards outside of the development office?

Right now, we use BBMS/BBNC to process donations, memberships, and event registrations. Outside of our office, they would like to start taking credit cards for patron purchases, fines, and fees (we are a public library).

We aren't looking to use BBNC since these are not donations and we don't want them in RE, but are thinking that the existing system BBMS would be easy to use.  Users (branches) could get a login and a USB swiper to charge cards.

Any suggestions?

When I signed up with BBMS the woman there told me that very soon (within weeks/months?) they will soon be launching a mobile app for BBMS where you can get a swiper for your phone. I do not know exactly how soon it will launch but it sounded like they were talking about very soon.

Yes, I was told they are in the testing phase for that.

We would probably use a computer and USB swiper scenario instead.  We are looking at it for selling books and paying fines/fees.  We are really more concerned with how anyone else who uses it outside of fundraising might handle it on the accounting side.
