Tracking a Conditional Pledge in RE

Does anyone have a best practice for this scenerio? A donor promises to match new gifts to a campaign up to $100,000.  I want to track the conditional pledge of $100,000 - how much as been leveraged, how much remains.  I am tracking cash received in the usual way - pay-cash.  We have a high level of confidence in meeting the condition.  My goal is to keep campaign management integrated in RE, streamlined and organized, and meet my accounting dept's goal of not recording a receivable on a conditional pledge.  Thanks.

    You are tracking cash received as pay-cash? You are entering the money received from the matcher as pay-cash or the new donors gifts as pay-cash? I'm a bit lost.

    If you know the day you started the campaign it is fairly easly to query at any time for new gifts made by people. You can easily report on this to report to the donor the number of gifts and total amount received. I would not do any other coding as it would be unnecesary and less reliable than this method.

    If you are talking about the pledge on the matcher's record we would use a gift subtype to track that it is a conditional pledge and adjust it to a regular pledge when the conditions have been met.

    I would do exactly as Milessa said but I would add a step. I would create a Gift Detail and Summary Report for the campaign with the start date of the Conditional promise. Then I could easily check where you stand with the gift totals and number. You could even do this on a dashboard for quick reference.
