A Note About Your fb_ref_page

Options

As you may know, the fb_ref_page controls a portion of the content that is displayed on the actual profile page of the Facebook user. The template page Convio provides for the fb_ref_page has several categories of contents, including latest news stories, upcoming events, actions alerts and a campiagn, and for those of you using them, gifts received. In addition to these pieces of content, the fb_profile page also pushes out latest activities.

Best practices would indicate that this is too much information, and it takes up far too much real estate on the users facebook profile. We included all of that as an example, but we recommed you include only a small amount of content, for example 3 events and a campiagn. The reasoning is, most facebook users have multiple applications, and for anyone application to take up a lot of space on the profile is annoying and visually displeasing.

So, please, take care when configuring your fb_ref_page to only inclide the most important information and try to keep it brief. Otherwise, you'll find Facebook member either hiding your application or dropping it all together.
