storybuilder article in facebook news feed?

Options

I noticed today that a test story builder article that a coworker did appeared in my facebook news feed.

As we didn't intentionally set that up, we're wondering how it works. Does any storybuilder article show up? Or is only people who are also in facebook? Is there any way to control which storybuilder articles appear, based on web interests or something?

  • Good question, Adrian. One feature of the facebook application is to push recent storybuilder articles to application owner's news-feeds. The system automatically picks the most recent article published in the last 12 hours, favoring those with images associated with them over those with no images. It will only push 1 article every 12 hours. If there is no new article in the 12 hour period, it will not push anything. If there are multiple articles published in the last twelve hours, it will push the most recent. There is no other filtering applied (e.g. interests).

The intention, of course, is to expand the reach of the application and your organization.

It is possible to turn this off, but you need to request Convio Support do the following:

Add an SDP called FACEBOOK_PUSH_NEWS and set to FALSE If you would like to change the rate at which articles are published, you need to request Convio Support do the following: Add an SDP called FACEBOOK_MIN_PUBLISH_DELAY_IN_MINUTES and set to the desired number of minutes.
