Hello! Thanks so much to Kent for planning, attending, and presenting at our inaugeral Convio User Group: Bay Area meeting last week! I want to get our next meeting on our calendars, and will be following up to confirm the rest of the details as they solidify.

Date: Friday, December 2nd

Time: 9:30AM to 12:30PM

Thanks so much to so many groups who volunteered their locations. For now I would like to make sure that all the locations who host are within a couple blocks of a BART station, to make transportation as smooth as possible for attendees. The location for the next meeting will probably be the Children's Hospital, but I need to follow up and confirm that, and then I will add those details to this thread, and after that we can get an event rsvp page going. I would also like to suggest this tentative agenda for the next meeting:

9:30am to 11am - Speaker (ideally advanced training on some facet of the Convio product line)

11am to 11:10am - Break

11:10am to 12:30pm - Group Problem Solving and Solution Sharing - ways you are making the Convio products work for you, and challenges you have encountered that you can share with the group (as others likely may have had or soon experience the same issue), and then share the solution/workaround that is working for you, or have the group brainstorm solutions/workarounds if a workable solution hasn't yet been figured out. Goal: bring up challenges and issues with Convio while keeping it a solution-oriented discussion around problem-solving and workaround implementation

This means we need to work on deciding on the topic for the Speaker - I would like to tentatively suggest one of these three topics:

-Making Your Automated Emails Awesome (email sequences supporters get such as welcome series emails after a new supporter joins, etc)

-Advanced Uses of PageBuilder, CMS, and Connecting Convio to Social Media (advanced training on making a donate and email sign-up form integrate with Facebook, etc)

-Mobile Web and Convio (advanced training on best practices for making Mobile Web wrappers in Convio using the newly released features)

Please chime in and either suggest a different topic (all suggestions welcome!!) or chime in with a vote for one of the above suggested topics. Thanks!

Hi Kristin,

This agenda looks great to me. Of the three topics you suggested, the first two, "Making Your Automated Emails Awesome" and "Advanced  Uses of PageBuilder, CMS, and Connecting Convio to Social Media" seem the most pertinent to me at this point because our organization is unlikely to develop a mobile strategy in the next year.

It was a pleasure to meet everyone last Friday! I found the meeting very useful and inspirational.

  It was great to see everyone at the meeting. Many thanks to the hosts and to Kent for making the trip, and of course to Kristin for following up.

  I am very interested in the mobile topic b/c I really want to get a mobile-tailored site up within the next six months, but as I think about the timing, I will probably have already set it up by Dec 02, so I'm willing to let go of that as a priority.

  Would it be beneficial to set up a survey or poll for folks to vote on their choices?
