Sending my HFB campaing

*Question*

We want to send the housefile building campaign out this week. How long should we give them, i.e. what should the new deadline be?

*Answer*

Typically you will run this campaign over the course of about a month.  Below is a suggested schedule that you could use

Kick off message – June 13

Audience: Housefile (Your charter's center member group).  Some charters, however, are sending only to event participants, so the intial target audience for this campaign will vary by charter and is up to your charter to determine.

Reminder message – June 20

Target Audience: See above - based on your Charter's decision to target all of your constituents or just event participants, etc.

Do not mail group: Convio Go! HFB 2012. The survey for the campaign is set up to populate a group that contains people who have signed up to participate in the campaign. You do not want to target them in this reminder email.

Last Chance Reminder to sign up – June 27

Target Audience: See above - based on your Charter's decision to target all of your constituents or just event participants, etc.

Do not mail group: Convio Go! HFB 2012. The survey for the campaign is set up to populate a group that contains people who have signed up to participate in the campaign. You do not want to target them in this reminder email.

Last Chance Reminder to spread the word – June 27

Target Audience: Convio Go! HFB 2012.  With this message you want to remind people who have signed up to continue to spread the word and send ecards

Follow up and Thank you – Date TBD.  You will send this email out once you have chosen a winner (if you did a contest) or tabulated the results (if you are doing a pledge campaign)

Target Audience: Convio Go! HFB 2012.  With this message you want to thank everyone who participated and share the results with them.

Comments

  • I have a correction to make, that was brought to my attention.  The suggested audience in my post for the "Reminder" message was based on a typical Go! program HFB campaign.  However, after looking at the content again in the ALA campaign, I was reminded that it is actually aimed at people who have already signed up.

Please see corrected suggested scheduling/audience as an example of how your Charter can launch this campaign.
