How to email groups via TeamRaiser coaching emails

I've  had a couple of charters ask me about how to send coaching emails to groups you have in Constituent360.  The good news is, you can do this! It's just a little buried, so I'd like to walk you through how to do this.  That way you can start using the coaching email tools for sending event emails.

 

Go to Fundraising > TeamRaiser > Manage the event you want to send email for > Coaching email tab.

 

Find the message that you want to send. If it is already approved, great.  If it is still in draft mode, click 'edit' and go to step 7 (approve) in the left navigation > Approve > click Finish. (At this point, do not click on set up delivery).

 

You'll be taken back to the page where you see your approved message (if your message had already been approved, this is the first step for you). Click on the delivery list tab.

In the left navigation, click on "configure delivery groups"

Click on "add groups".  This will allow you to search for groups you have set up in Constituent360.

Use the search form and find the groups you want to target > select them and click on the 'Add checked groups' button > click 'finish' at the bottom of the page.  (Note: if you have any groups you DO NOT want to mail, you should still select them at this point.  This will make them available to manage when configuring the delivery itself). 

 

Now you'll see your message partially configured.

 

In the top of the page, you'll see a link and the  name of your event, click on that.

Click on "Send a Message" in the left navigation.  Click "begin delivery" next to the message you want to deliver.  Now, you'll be taken through the normal process of sending a coaching email. When you get to the first step that, select "groups created by this event".

You can then see the groups you selected to be available in the group delivery. Once selected, click next and you'll be taken to a delivery details page. 

 

If you need to include "do not mail" groups, you can click on "manage do not mail email groups" in the left navigation. From there you can select from teh automated selections such as current participants or donors.  Or, you can again select groups created for the event and then select groups you had added to your group delivery list per the steps above.
