In Go! we have tons of resources to help you with donor engagement. While there is a lot you can do on your own, take advantage of what we’ve already built.

ePostcards – With all the holidays you’re sure to find reasons to thank, celebrate and educate supporters. Depending on your mission, pick holidays and observances that allow you to send a special message. Utilize the ePostcard monthly project to add to your eCommunications strategy. Here are several to get the creative ideas flowing.

New Year’s, Valentines’ Day, Earth Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Memorial Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Boxing Day (Canada), Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukah or Ramadan

In addition to holidays you also have observances like Disaster Preparedness Week, Women’s History Month, Child Health Day, World AIDS Day, Fire Prevention Week and National Diabetes month. For an extensive list of days, week and months observed learn more on Wikipedia.

Shortened eNews – Use the shortened eNews template to announce the release of your Annual Report, as an event follow up or donor profile story.

Donor Engagement Survey – Summer is usually a slow time for fundraising, take advantage and run a donor profiling campaign in 2014. Using your basic eCard template (look under campaign > stationery) and the donor survey, run a multi-message campaign in June or July to learn a little more about the people who love you most.

And finally don't forget about autoresponders and the Thank You confirmation page. This is the first impression your donors have as soon as they give. Make sure the messages are sincere, heartfelt and tell the donor something about the impact they will make.
