Reports in RE 7.95

I use the Gift Detail and Summary Report for many different things, especially our monthly and year-to-date fundraising reports. I share these reports with our Controller. I export them into Excel. All was fine until we upgraded to 7.95. I preview the report, pick export to Excel workbook data only, then choose tabular format and hit okay. When I look at the report, there are blank lines between lines and it takes forever to clean up. I called support and they just said, yup, that's happening. Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have a work around?

    We are not on 7.95 yet, but I have encountered this with some code tables that I have exported.  The way I get rid of the empty rows is to apply a filter to your headings, then filter on 'blank' only, highlight all the blanks then delete.

  • OMG!  I have been complaing to Blackbaud about this since I upgraded last year.  I have to do a weekly gift report from the Detail Report and since my upgrade have not been able to export it in a format that you can edit, etc.  The problem is they took away the excel options (xls, etc).  My workabount is and export.  I create a constituent query from my gift detail report.  Then I create an export with all the fields I need, campaign, fund appeal, package, gift amount, gift date, solicitor name, gift type, pledge, balance, constituent name, address, constituent code.  Then I just export that in to an excel spread sheet and works perfectly!  I reuse the eport every week.  You just have to remember in the export on the top row of the output screen to update your date parameters.
