Need help with Event Calendar listing using RSS feed option or list view option

I am in need of some help on an event calendar listing, either using the general listing or using RSS feed.


Our situation is we are creating 4 location pages with calendar info specific to that location. This calendar information will feed into a grouped calendar also on our website. On the individual location page, we wish to list a particular number of upcoming events. For this, we would have liked to use the calendar list option, but this lists by a date period and not our goal of the next 3 events.


I have researched the event calendar RSS feed which gives me the presentation I want. The problem I have is when attaching to the newsreader feed, it populates based on post date. For a news feed this is fine, but for a calendar feed, it is not.


Is there any workaround that you have found such as overwriting the default calendar list view or the newsreader? Any assistance would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!

    I suggest using the Event Calendar Highlights part. You can set it to automatically pull in the next month/3 months, etc and/or the most recent events from your event calendar(s). It can be styled to look a lot nicer than an RSS feed.  And it links to your events.

    Julie - Thank you for your suggestion. We have researched this part, but we would like to control next 3 events vs using months. Also, we would like to link each event directly to the event calendar posting such as how the list view functions. We wanted to avoid creating a FT&I part that we would have to populate manually. Open to thoughts.
