Issue uploading files to NetCommunity site

Options
Hi all,

I've been having an issue when trying to upload anything (from images to docs) to our NetCommunity site.
The site keeps on telling me that "either the images exceeds the size limit (which is not true), or your website certificate is invalid." I went here https://www.blackbaud.com/casecentral/casesearch.aspx to try to open a ticket to get support but haven't been able to find how to effectively do that. Can you help me with this? thanks

  • Same issue here, just in the past month or so, and in both Chrome and Firefox. I had a chat with Blackbaud's support about this and they were not able to find the cause of the problem or provide a solution. HOWEVER, I found that if I switch browser to IE, I'm able to upload without the error. I hope that helps, though I do think Blackbaud needs to fix whatever is going on here.

  • Hello Laura / Catherine,

I'm happy to help see what is causing this issue. Do you mind taking a screenshot of your web console when the error occurs?

On Chrome (OSX), press "Command + Option + I", go to the "Network" tab and select "Preserve Log". Then, refresh the page, attempt an upload, and look for errors that may show up / if possible, take a screenshot. I'm assuming that the page is request mixed-content between http/https resources.

    Thank you,

  • Chris,

You are the best!! I tried doing exactly what you said and it worked.

    Thank you so much!
  • Hello Laura,

Were you able to find out the error? What I recommended shouldn't have fixed anything, - it should show you what error is thrown. However, maybe Blackbaud fixed this issue in the meantime. Either way, I'm happy to hear it is working now!

  • Chris,

Weird... Because I was trying unsuccessfully to upload the image seconds before I tried your tick of the option + command + I. Once I did that and checked the "Preserve Log" box and refresehd the page it worked, and it keeps on working!

I have no idea what the error was, but doing this helped me.
