TeamRaiser and Raiser's Edge Integration

Hi All


I have heard a few various things about integration between RE and Luminate's TeamRaiser. My questions are really related to how and where this data will end up in Raiser's Edge, specifically for the gifts we receive in support of a team member.


I have heard so many different things that I do not know what is correct and what is outdated and/or incorrect.  Do they just come in as a donation from the TeamRaiser page and no particpant information?  Do they come in with the team participant as a gift solicitor?  Do the gifts come in linked to that participant record within RE Events?  Does the RELO integration tool even work if we only have TeamRaiser?


Has anyone else tracked this TeamRaiser information in RE succesfully and are willing to share the strategy?


At this stage we are just looking to make the switch from Sphere to TeamRaiser and just want to be sure we have all the required information.  I have read quite a bit of information on this, but can't seem to find anything at all with how the donations are handled.

  • We recently implemented TeamRaiser and I am curious about these same questions. For now, we are mapping a gift subtype of TeamRaiser to all of the gifts, and then can go look in TeamRaiser for more details such as what team or event it is for. We are using TeamRaiser for people to create their own "events", so this information is important to import but so far we haven't figured out a good way to import it through the connector. Hoping to see some more answers on this!
  • This depends on what solution you are using to sync LO with RE.


    The new(ish) RELO Integration product has added quite a bit of TR information to the sync, and I've heard that more TR specific info will be added. The old DataSync which we are moving off of send almost nothing TR specific to RE - you get donor and gift info and whatever XREF mapping you've done. I have no experience with 3rd party products such as the Infomatic offering.


    I'd get in contact with your Customer Success Manager to help you with this. BB should be involved in helping you configure your field mappings. My CSM also provided us with the RELO Integration Guide and RELO Field Mapping PDFs.

  • Here are the answers to your questions in reference to gifts received in support of a team member:

    Do they just come in as a donation from the TeamRaiser page and no particpant information?  
    Registrations flow through as just that, a registration fee; any additional gift made at the time of registration will be allocated as a donation.

    Do they come in with the team participant as a gift solicitor?  
    Registrations are associated to the LO constituent that signed up for the event, and registration fees and gifts are associated to this participants record in RE.  Gifts that flow through from donors are associated to the constituent record that made the gift.

    Do the gifts come in linked to that participant record within RE Events?  Yes

    Does the RELO integration tool even work if we only have TeamRaiser? Yes


    We are currently working on updating the field mapping guide to include Team Raiser and Events.

    Can you speak more to the field mapping guide for Events? Does this mean I will be able to map multiple tickets options to different appeal codes? 


    i.e. 


    Ticket Option 1 is mapped to one appeal code

    Ticket Option 2 is mapped to a different appeal code.


    Currently only the entire event can be mapped. Which does not allow us to track what tickets are purchased.

    I just want to be sure I understand correctly.


    If Holly makes a TeamRaiser donation in support of John Doe, Holly's donation will be added as a gift in her record.  That gift would then be linked to John Doe's participant record within the RE Event module?  It is Holly's gift we are looking at here... not John Doe's registration or extra gift....


    If this is correct, is there any supporting documentation I can provide to my team that states where this information is going?  I have looked through the field mapping guide and it really only addresses additional donations made by the TeamRaiser participant only... 


    If I have misunderstood and this is a work in progress, I can go back to my team and say that this may be possibility in the future, but currently manual work will be required.  Since the people managing events are not necessarily the same people who are bringing these gifts into RE, it is really important that this step be automated.  This is also important in order to reduce the amount of time we are going to spend managing data instead of managing the event.
