Export Returns Fewer Records than Query

Options
I'm calling support as soon as the lines open up but am posting here too ... Trying to do address update from NCOA return files following Article 43384 How to add a new preferred address, update a linked spouse (or relation) with the new address, and retain the old address as an alternate.  The query I'm using has 5,954 records but when I run it through Export it only has 5,928 records.  I double checked and said to include deceased, no valid address and inactive records.  Why is it not exporting all records?  I'm exporting ids and addresses, no giving information.

I need to have all records in order to match up with new addresses. Has anyone else run into this?

  • A couple of questions, Kim:

    1) Which fields are on your Output Tab in Query? This may duplicate results in the query.

    2) Are you selecting "Export only constituents marked "Head of Household"" in your Export? If you are, you may want to "Export both constituents separately"
  • Answered my own question ... turns out for some reason there were dups in the query.  Since export removes dups ... fewer records.
