Query: Total Number of GIfts to my Organization

Hello,


Is there a way to pull a Query/Export on a constitutent's total number of gifts given to my organization?

    Thank you so much! A couple of other questions:


    1) Under Summary Information - is "Total Gift Amount" the
    total dollar amount of gifts given to my organization?

    2) Is there a Years Giving (Number of years an individual has
    given to my organization) field?

    1. Yes but only the total amount for gifts that meet the criteria you selected.  Ex: specific gift types (be aware of double counting by choosing pledge and the pledge payments) specific appeals/funds/campaigns, specifc dates etc.


    2.  No there is not a field to show years giving.  Several ideas on giving history on the Discovery idea pages.  Otherwise I believe the only way is to do an export with a field for each year and then plug a formula into Excel to get #.

    You're welcome. You can get to it from the menu bar on the Blackbaud website, but I usually just end up googling "Raiser's Edge Discovery" as for some inexplicable reason the link is under Support on the US site but is under Resources on the UK site and I can't be bothered to keep flipping back and forth between menu lists trying to find the right one. smiley

    Be aware that the Summary Fields automatically filter by Gift Type.  A good habit to get into early is to always include Gift Type as a Criteria in all Summary Gift Fields.  That way, you know for sure what you're getting, and it doesn't matter what RE does to "help" you not double-count.
