I'm looking for information on using the Events Management within Online Express. We currently have the Events Module in Raiser's Edge and have just transitioned to Online Express. Is there a webinar or can you show me what the event forms look like in Online Express Events Management? We are getting ready to hold a Bull Roast. Will the Events Management/Forms allow me to make a single purchase of 2 or more tickets at $40 each and calculate the total?  Thank you for your assistance.

    Yes, OEX can do all of that. We are more than happy with our decision to move to Online Express, and we have numerous events throughout the year.


    I know I did a webinar early on (we switched last April), but there are also helpful videos. There's a link on each tab of  the event form as you're setting it up to walk you through the steps.

    Steph your forms look great, I am struggling with setting up our forms for the first time and using the Event's module.  How long have you been using it?  Do you have any best practice information that you could share?  I am not finding anyone, so far, that uses the event module in full capacity that can share what codes they have chosed for their event tables and why, and what they find the event module most useful for.  Do you use mobile check in for your events?

    Thanks for sharing the link to your Online Express events pages!  We are brand spanking new to Online Express & I've created our first online registration for an event this April, but I haven't "embedded" the code to a page for the event yet.  So, does the embedded code create the Register Now button that then launches registration form (e.g. on your Comedy Against Cancer page?).

    Thanks, our page is managed from a hospital website, so our parent company has lots of concerns about security. I want to assure them that while the form is "embedded" it is still directing folks to Online Express & that payment info is never being transacted on our org's website. We have used NetCommunity in the past & we are more familiar with providing a link & our foundation staff has now knowledge about codes, but I believe I understand that the embedding of the code is performing the same function as adding a link to the payment processing/registration. Does my question/clairfication make sense?  Thanks!

    All of the pages where the forms reside were created separately. But the 'Register Now" button on this page (https://www.marshfieldclinic.org/giving/special-events/comedy-against-cancer) is just a stylized link :)  So that button design was created by our staff. And it's just a simple hyperlink to the othe rpage I created (https://www.marshfieldclinic.org/giving/special-events/comedy-against-cancer-registration)


    This was the biggest change for us when we switched from Sphere to OEX - realizing we needed to create separate webpages for each form. Theoretically, we could've just embedded the form right on the main event page too. But it got a little too long, and our staff is used to a separate page for the form.


    I hope that clarified? Sorry if I misunderstood your question!

    Yes, thanks that is understood.  That is also our biggest challenge with switching from NetCommunity to Online Express - having each form reside on a webpage.  Looks like we are going to just have the event registration embedded on the page. My biggest challange now is figuring out how to combine event registration with donations (in lieu of attending), as I just learned that the event registration page can't excpet donations without a registration. Thanks agian.
