Error When Opening Gift Batch

When entering a gift batch, one or two of the fields contained too much information before closing out. When trying to go back into the batch, the following message came up:

“The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.”

The batch refused to open. Is there a way to rectify this situation without having to start over with a new batch?

Have you tried this? There is a knowledgebase solution on this error - process looks a little involved.

Thanks for the link! It seemed odd to me that it would a) accept the data in the field without showing a warning message right away, and that b) it would lock us out of the batch so that we couldn’t amend the field. It’s possible we don’t have the patches up to date though, and that one process does look very involved. This is a start, so thanks again for your help!
