Compatibility of Online Express and Red Dot

Options
As Net Solutions will soon be no more, my organization has switched our online giving to Online Express.

I created the two forms needed for our donation page and our person who works on ou webpage attempted to load the javascript for the forms.

However, it appears that our platform--Red Dot does not allow javascript. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Help!!!

  • Hi Heather, we had the same problem. We had to have our original web developer create a template page that would accept the javascript. I wish I could tell you more details, but that is the extent of my understanding. It was very frustrating at the time, as OLX made it sound so easy.

    Tamara,

Thank you so much for your response! I know this is probably beyond your scope, but do you know if the template that was created by your webmaster was through Net Community or another BlackBaud service?

    Thank you!

  • Hi again, you are right that it is beyond my scope, but I do know it was not in Net Community. Our website is built using a product called SilverStripe; we did not use Net Community for our website, only our donation pages. When we switched to OLX we thought we could easily put up new pages. Nope! The marketing firm who built the original website had to make a template that would take the javascript. Luckily it is smooth sailing now, but that was discouraging. And the Customer Service at OLX was awful; we didn't know what we didn't know, and they seemed to think all websites should be able to simply accept javascript. I hope your webmaster will be able to allow your pages to accept javascript.
