OLX: Capturing Phone Type via forms

Hello everyone,



We have recently begun making an effort to refine our Phone data by having a record of what type of phone our Preferred Phone numbers reach. There were fields for Home numbers, Cell numbers, Business numbers or Primary numbers--but what we really wanted was to know: Is the primary number a home, cell or work number? Once in a while that is helpful to us. We've been capturing this data at convenient opportunities. I would like to edit our Donation and Membership forms in OLX so that they capture this kind of info, but there's no field for this by default. I'm looking for the best/most manageable way of capturing this. I am thinking I will be stuck with Gift Attributes but if anyone else has a better idea, I would love that.

    At the moment, I believe you're stuck with Gift Attributes.  I have a couple of fields there that when I download gifts, I move that data to the "correct" location and then delete the Gift Attribute.  Then I can easily use a Query to find any that haven't been moved.  (We also don't have a high volume of online gifts, so this isn't more than a little tiny pain in the neck...if this were on a larger scale/volume, I'd probably devise an Export/Import system and move the data on a weekly or monthly basis.)

    Thanks, Jennifer. We also don't exactly get swamped with online donations, so we'll probably do something very similar to you.
