Greetings! I was reading through posts on the community and noticed that a lot of people have a lot of wishes, such as "I wish my VP of development would..." or "I wish RE could..." Since it's officially the "holiday season" (i.e. post-Halloween) perhaps we can have some fun and post our job and RE-related wish list? Keep it light and funny, and save the real suggestions for the Blackbaud Idea Banks (https://www.blackbaud.com/nonprofit-resources/idea-banks.aspx). Funniest wish list wins!

I wish RE was more like SIRI. I say "hey RE can you please run this report, export it to excel, and format this way" but then the aswer might be "sorry I did not understand what you meant by..."

I wish RE would let me export event participation info. based on groups instead of types. I wish my co-workers would complain to Blackbaud instead of me when RE and BBNC doesn't do what they want it to do.

I wish my director had any desire to learn about the database that runs all the information and reports for his department. I wish the managers had a clue about what it takes to provide the information that they request. I wish I had backup for any of my job.

I love this question, Josh! When I was still working in Raiser's Edge, I know I always wished it for a pop up a virtual high five or at least a dancing cat or something whenever I entered a major gift. It's sad dancing in your cubicle by yourself. Dancing cats, glitter cannons, and virtual high fives would make it better.

I wish RE would let you export Organization relationships by other fields than just the relationship/reciprocal so that I didn't get all the orgs that a person was a member of in my output when I only want that info for specific orgs.

I wish RE would magically have whatever data I need for requests from staff, without my having to (find it and) enter it first. Just got my second of the week asking for a report that requires data I am fairly sure was never entered (or not in a way that makes it usable).

And I second the glitter cannons...I want those whenever a particularly complex task (and maybe sometimes just a simple one) is completed...and the Siri feature.

Totally second this post. Reporting on non-existent data would be great! And while we are at it, could we have data given to us from other sources, on paper, magically enter itself in a usuable format.

As Nancy Joyce said over on the RE FB page - I wish ALL fields were available for Export. It's so sad to create a beautiful export - and have to get that last one or two fields from query.

I don't know, there is a popular soft drink brand here in the UK that produces a festive glittery version around Christmas time. I quite like the glitter; it tastes of nothing but adds a bit of texture!

I'm with you on that, though my bugbear is stock gifts! We don't do ANY split gifts and virtually no soft credits. Hooray for RE that lets you use it the way it works for your organization!

I wish the Event tab did not function like a wayward child that is part of RE but not part of RE, and that Event Reports were more like Financial Detail and Summary Reports where you can pick the fields/columns.

I want glitter or dancing cats for major gifts too!

I wish there was Sort capability with the Constituent Giving History report. I like to use the report with Query List or with Query's where I paste in the Constituent ID numbers, and with either example, I wind up with a sort by ID number, with no option to sort alpha by last name (or SortKey).

I wish that the phone import id was an output option in query. I know I've mentioned this already, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. In fact, why can't all the fields be an option in query output?
