Some addresses do not appear in report

Hello all - I went to run a Donor Category Report today, and marked the option to print addresses on the report.  For most individuals, the preferred address printed like it was supposed to, but there were a handful where the address did not print at all.  The constituents definitely have a preferred address, it is marked to send mail to that address, are not marked "has no valid address", they are not anonymous, etc.  I fiddled with the parameters of what type of address to include, including seasonal addresses, etc, but nothing worked.  I can't see any pattern to which addresses print and which don't.



Any advice?

  • You may need to contact Blackbaud Support on this one.  They can set up a screen share with you and will then be able to actually see what you're seeing.  You covered all of the things I would have normally suggested, so there must be something happening in the background, and it's more likely that Support will be the best help here.
  • Is it possible that these addresses are marked not to recieve mail?
  • I was thinking the same thing - in the address record, the box  to "Send mail to this address" may not be checked.  I've noticed this pattern before when address lines were blank in certain exports & reports.

  • Have you checked the Valid Dates and Seasonal Dates? Sometimes I find that a change was made to the address where Seasonal Dates were confused with Valid Dates. When that happens, and it is out of date, the address will not print. Another thought: Are there Solicit Codes on the Bio 1 tab that are selected?
