Turn off email message function on donation form?

I don't think you can turn off either the confirmation screen or the email message sent.  We are like you, we send a hard copy acknowledgement letter (97% of them get a handwritten note from our CEO), so it seems like overkill.  However, you can edit the text for both of these, on the Thank Yous tab under the donation page design screen.  So you can set it up that the confirmation screen simply says "thank you" and references an email that is automatically sent and then edit the email to provide a simple transaction recap and another "thank you," because you can't say thank you enough.  Then save the hard copy letter for the personal touch and further information about your organization and what that donation is doing for your org.  I know if I were to make a purchase or a donation online and didn't see a confirmation page and get an email, I'd be a little worried, so I don't know that turning off either of these is necessarily a good idea.  If you/your organization feels that strongly about this, though, you should post the idea in the OLX Idea Bank for others to vote on.
