How do I make a Gift Aid field Mandatory?

I wish to make an addittional field in the Gift Aid tab mandatory. We already have Declaration Start Date as a mandatory field (so I know it can be done!), and we would like to make the 'Declaration Made Date' madatory too. However, I can't find the Gift Aid section in configuration. Does anyone know where it is?

From what I can tell you are not able to adjust the mandatory requirements of these fields. Normally you would go to Config, Fields and then select the area that you interested in. However I do not see decalarations as an area and those fields are not under constituent.

The declaration start date is mandatory out of the box.

I realise that you should not have to go down this route as you should be able to do this through the normal channels but if you were to use Validatrix to set up a rule you could easily make any of the declaration fields (or a combination of them or of other fields) mandatory or even conform to a specific pattern.

That's a shame, it would be really helpful if there were more options for making fields mandatory on RE. I don't think this is critical enough to go down the rules route, but it's useful to bear in mind.

Gemma, I echo your thoughts that it is annoying you can't easily make it a required field!

As nobody has come forward I presume this is definitely the case?
