Has anyone developed a constituent profile format that works well for you for event attendees?  If so, would you mind sharing your profile report format with us?  Thanks so much!

  • Janice,

We have struggled with this topic aslo, we normally use past history and potential giving to create atribuites and query attendees based off that list.  The new blackbaud data health center giving score help out a lot but we still have to profile the data case by case based  on the event.
  • This has been an issue for us.

We ended up listing number of guests as an attribute because we weren't able to collect info on everyone.
  • Short, general information that can fit on an index card. We used this for a few of our events. The reverse of the card gave the gift officers an opportunity to jot down a few notes. We put onto the card a picture, name, class year, city, state, business name and position and any affiliations they had while on campus (athletic, greek, etc.)

ARe you using the event mobile app?  If so participant attributes show up there, that maybe a short cut way for your staff to see the information that way.

When are you preparing these profiles? Do different staff members get different attendees based on solicitor assignments.

If so, a crystal report is probably the best way to go to get all that you want on the profile page, and they can be sorted according to solicitor, so you may be able to give the Solicitor a 1 pager that shows all "their people" at the event with the needed informtation.
  • We created a constituent code of Event donor. Then we can query on those based on the event they attended and use that information and giving history to determine the frequency we solicit.
  • What is your goal in the profile report - will it be used to contact and invite attendees or to follow up afterward?
  • We typically include what they have donated this year, lifetime, how long they have been a donor, what other events have they attended and any relationships to other attendees or staff or board members.
