RE Mobile App & Mobile Event App Portrait to Landscape

Many in my organization are wanting the option to have the display of the iPad mobile apps available in either portrait or landscape. Is anyone else wishing this was an option as well?  I understand that there is no plans for this to be provided at the present time.  Many in my org use the keyboard display and stand or iPad holder when they use their iPad and it is very inconvenient for them to have to disconnect their iPad from the keyboard when trying to enter the information onto a constiuent's record.

    The mobile event app can be used in either landscape or portrait. I haven't used the RE app itself on the ipad - is there an iPad specific app for RE (which would take up the whole screen) or are you running the iPhone app (which would display as a smaller window on the iPad's display, not taking up the whole screen)? 



    Also, ensure that you're using the iPad version of the mobile events app if it's not taking up the whole screen. The iPad specific version can indeed be used in either orientation - we used it at our gala this past year and it worked well.

    I only found one option for the app when I was looking for the ipad app.  It came up as The Raiser's Edge.  Is there a different name for the app that I need to search for?

    Okay, I just installed the RE iPad app and can confirm that the app does not rotate 180 degrees after you are logged in. The Mobile Events app, however, does rotate 180 degrees. The app is called Mobile Event Management for the Raiser's Edge. It's not bad, except that it can be a bit slow at times, especially if your database is quite large. 



    I agree that the lack of rotation in the app would be irritating. That said, there are different keyboard/case solutions that would allow you to use the iPad in portrait mode while still being able to use an external keyboard normally. You shouldn't need different hardware to make Blackbaud's app usable, but there it is.

    I am also unable to find this application in the App store on my iPhone/iPad.
