Looking to streamline gift processing to GL - Journal Entries

in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT®: General Discussion
Anyone have suggestions for transferring RE-Gift- GL information (including split gifts) into a financial General Ledger system.  In a past life, I used RE & FE - and the interface through Post to General Ledger (Adminstration Tab) worked very well. 



If you don't have Financial Edge (FE) , what tools are you using:  Quickbooks, Post Omatic, Crystal, Export by batch/deposit?  What would be best practices for interfacing the gift detail from RE to a financial system?

    We do not use FE, but we do use Post to General Ledger. It exports the data out into a nice CSV format that imports seamlessly into our accounting system.

    What accounting system do you use?  I'm working with a university that is implementing Raiser's Edge and will be using the Post to General Ledger process - for the need to export the data into a CSV format that will import into their accounting solution.  We are curious to know your process and how it was successfully set up.

    PostOmatic for the Raiser's Edge does exactly this, posting the GL data in exactly the format required by the destination accounting system (including systems like Banner, Colleague, Intacct, Oracle GL, Great Plains, Kuali, PeopleSoft, and Ceres) with all the configuration (summary/detail/etc), pre-post, and posting options you could want. Also, it has some nice functions like the ability to import GL Accounts to funds, instead of having to create them all manually. It's used by many universities, it supports all recent versions of RE and NXT, and is available in Blackbaud's hosting environment. Hope that helps!
