Hi,



I'm wondering if I can turn-off a required field?  Currently the "State" field is required, we have international donors who do not have a state, can I turn this off, if so how do I do that.

    I would love to know how to do this as well as we have a Municipal District (Manual Override) field that is required that we do not use at all

    You may or may not have admin access to this area of your instance... but start by looking under:



    Setup > Database Configuration (dropdown)



    If you can get that far.. you'll be able to check boxes to add/remove/require/etc data fields.  If you don't see Database Configuration under your Setup.. than you may need to contact Support.

    In Luminate, when a donor goes on-line in fills in any donor form the state field is mandatory, when it passes to RE we have a default value of "ON" going into that field, then we manually have to change it to blank in RE.  I would like to turn it off in Luminate.  Not sure if it's the mapping from Luminate to RE or just a mandatory field in Luminate.

    So in your donation forms, click edit and go to step 3 to Design Donor Screens and click to edit the donation form. Then find the Billing State/Province data element in the right column and click save order and edit selected. Then scroll down to the "require" section and un-check the box and save.

    Note that the State/Province field has an option of "None" at the very bottom of the list. The intent is that donors outside of the U.S., Canada, and U.S. territories choose this option.
