responsive web design and BBPay

Options
Does anyone have—or can you point me to—a NetCommunity site with “responsive” styling which doesn’t break the Blackbaud Secure Payments page on a mobile (narrow) device?  Ours works well enough on a donation page, but not when we use it on a page with a “new” (not “classic”) event registration part which requires payment.  When users get to the BBPay page to enter their credit card details, there is no payment form content and just some unstyled fragments of our menu &c.

I’d accept that the BBPay page not be responsive, but I’d at least like it to render and be as usable as an unstyled BBPay page.

Is there a gallery of responsive NetCommunity sites?

  • Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but here is ours.

I've also copied the styling and used it for some events (which I do not have live right now)
  • Ensuring the BBPay screen allows your css/layout wrapper is a little dicey at times.  You can see it working on the following BBNC site, however, in both desktop and responsive views - https://www.coafkids.org/donate/soiree-2015.  Once you have a template that does not contain js, you can go to Sites & Settings, scroll to the bottom, click to use the Secure Template, then test your 'new' event reg form for step 3.

This was formerly much simpler, but the latest patch removed the design wrapper from all formerly developed BBNC sites.  So one must now reformat templates to have the wrapper display again.

  • Thanks for the response, Julie.  Did you build that template/layout/stylesheet?  Do you know who did?
  • We did, yes!  We do this very often for our clients.
