entering offline donations without email address - not thru Team Raiser

Disregard first question - its Monday. This is what I meant to ask

How can we enter an offline donation without an email address. General donation, not part of a Team Raiser donation.

Hi Pamela,

First you have to make sure the donation form you want to use is set for "offline" use:

Fundraising > Donation Management > All Donation Forms (tab) > Edit link on form > Step 1. Identify Donation Form > 6. Interaction Mode

To add the offline gift, you will go to Constituent 360 > Constituents (and either search for an existing constituent or add a new one). If you're adding a new constituent, and you don't have an email address, choose the "Add Many Constituents" option, as that will not require the email address.

After the new constituent is added, you will Edit their profile and navigate to the "Transactions" tab. Use the "Gift Entry" dropdown on that page to select the donation form you'd like the offline gift to go towards.

I'm having the same problem with entering in offline donations within LO on an "offline only" donation form. When I go to "Add Many Constituent" it shows a required * asterisk beside the email address field. Has something changed in LO or is there a setting in our LO setup that needs to be changed to removed the (*) from the field. In disperate need to add constituents that have mailed in donations.
