Increased Email Bounces With 6.53

Anyone finding increased email bounces since 6.53? All aol addresses are soft bouncing, all comcast last week, though that may have been related to a comcast service issue. I would love to hear if anyone else is experiencing this.

    The comcast ones were an issue with comcast. We filed a ticket with them and they fixed it on Saturday. The said it would take about 48 hours for the Saturday changes to take effect, so by now it should be all fixed.

    We don't have confirmation about AOL at this point. I recommend creating a case so it can be looked into.

    This error message is a dynamic block on our system. Dynamic blocks are placed on an IP address when the IP's statistics break our threshold. These are automated blocks that are removed by the system within 24 hours once the complaints are again below the threshold.
  • Submitted the case and we have looked into it here as well. Looks like the action steps need to be taken on the Blackbaud side. Wonder if anyone else is having the problem?

It has been brought to our attention that any emails sent to the AOL and/or Comcast domains may be failing. Please know that this issue is not affecting any other email service providers at this time.


    Our Engineers are working directly with AOL and Comcast to resolve this issue, and we anticipate resolution within the next few days.


    We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work toward resolution.

  • We have a lot of problems with Comcast and AOL users getting our emails out of BBNC. We can email them outside the system but when they are included, they bounce.



    This has worked for these users even though they have said they have never blocked Blackbaud:



    "To remove the block on these accounts, an email address can be sent from the account(s) in question to: unblockme@blackbaud.com"

    Comcast and AOL have both said they fixed this. This is as of yesterday. If you have any emails that you send today or later that this happens to please create a case with us to investigate.
