Pledge per VARIABLE Amount (think walk-a-thon concept!)

Pledge PER Variable Amount (ie- the concept of a walk-a-thon where participants solicit sponsors PER MILE-- we are looking to do a program where donors pledge PER TOUCH DOWN for our NFL team). We realize there are restrictions with storing of credit card info, but if we treat it like a reoccuring gift that we are able to enter in that variable amount perhaps? After the season or twice during the season, can we enter in the variable (amount of TD's) and then charge the participants credit cards?

    If you accept it as a recurring gift, charging it is handled inside The Raiser's Edge. I hope that helps point you in the right direction for this!

    Similarly, we want to ask people to give whenever our director bikes 100 miles. Here we know the amount, but not when to charge the credit card. How do you set up a recurring gift schedule, or pledge schedule, if you don't know when to charge the card (because we don't know ahead of time when the director will reach the next 100 mile mark)?
