Understanding E-Mail Signups

I'm taking over my organization's NetCommunity work and trying to understand how email signups work.



Do you have to import the signups from the signup form ito a new list or does it do it automatically? I can't seem to find a tutorial on this and any help would be much appreciated.

    2. What type of list are you using?


    3. How are you currently soliciting for email addresses?

    I'm sending messages... the goal for me is that when people click on sign up for our mail list, that they get added to the list automatically.



    Currently there is a form that we pull from the data tab in NC
