reCAPTCHA no longer uses 2 word phrases, please update

Options
Hello,

I have been getting reports from users, and have been able to verify myself that reCAPTCHA no longer exclusively uses 2 words to very form submissions. On the forms present in BBNC, it instructs users to enter 2 words.

Please update the form language to reflect the changes to reCAPTCHA

    Hi Luke,

As you noticed, Google made a change to reCAPTCHA. If Google thinks you're probably human, you'll get an easier challenge (a single image, maybe a number). If Google thinks you might be a 'bot,' you'll get the standard two-distorted-word challenge.

These changes are described in this Google blog post:

reCAPTCHA just got easier (but only if you’re human)

Luckily for us, the language you're referring to, "Type the two words:" is on the language tab for the Donation Form page part. Look under the category 'reCAPTCHA.' You can specify different text for 'Image prompt.' See below.

If you change the text for 'Image prompt,' make sure you change it for each language you have in the 'Language' drop-down selector. Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

  • Is there a step I'm missing? I've changed the "Text" language but it won't overwrite the "Default text" value.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Hey Lillian,

This would probably be best as a support case if it's not changing based on Greg's instructions.

    Thanks!
    Karen
