Email Statistic Reporting

Options
For the email stats of an email sent on the message report, on the recipients tab the names are in order by first name, is there a way to sort by last name? Or any easy way to pull this same information through RE in order to have it sort by last name? It looks like the only option within BBNC is by first name. I know I can export it as a csv file, but in excel the information is still in the same cell sorted by the first name.

  • Jennifer,

Your question got me thinking about ways to do this. I have two ideas.

This data can be access by a query in RE. I checked. There is a category of data for NetCommunity, and you can query on name or subject of email and find out who opened it. In your output you'll get last name separate from first name. It just means you have to build a query for each email for which you want to gather data.

You can also use excel to split up the names into separate cells. The basic trick is to look for the space and move everything left of the space to a new cell, and everything right of the space to a new cell. http://excelhints.com/2009/01/24/sepa...
  • Good Morning Jamie - You are right, it can be queried on, however, it is a bear to find the email you want to query. I have tried it and it can be done, but our organization has sent 1,000s of emails.

Before your response came through our CFO showed me how to split the cells and I think that is the route I will be taking.

    Thanks for your help.

    Better Email Stats.

We'd like to track where people are opening our emails - on desktops, mobile devices, etc. Doesn't seem to be a way to do that now, but getting some numbers on this would help us know how much effort to invest in mobile-friendly initiatives.
  • I don't know if this should be a new topic, but it would be helpful if there was a way to analyze overall email statistics. So for example, you could report on overall open rates, click-throughs etc. for all emails sent over a period of time. Right now we are stuck with manually taking the data from individual message reports to create a big picture report.
