Netcommunity Gift Attributes

Options
SOS: we process netcommunity donations and have 10 gift attributes that are named "netcommunity email, transaction id, page, etc." No one in our organization recalls creating these, because their naming convention makes no sense "ex. netcomm transaction guide will download f7de8f78-7008 when we process donations. I have no idea what any of these attributes mean, what they reflect on our donation form, and how to fix them so they make sense. I have searched forums, the knowledgebase, nothing has given me the information im looking for. Does anyone have any guidance on how to properly use/update these?

  • Hello Jake,

Not to worry, these attributes are added to any gift that originated from Blackbaud NetCommunity. They can be used later for queries or reports. The transaction GUID and ID fields are the gift's unique identifiers in the database (like System Record ID for an RE constituent).

If you have any further inquiries regarding these fields, please feel free to contact our BBNC suppot team!

    Thanks,

    Ryan
  • Jumping in here - if I wanted some additional NetCommunity attributes to come through onto the Gift - for instance, the url the donor came in from when making their donation - can I set this up?

We use Friendly URLs to track the donation source. It would be great if we could get this to come through as an attribute on the gift in RE. I see it listed for each gift when I export gift information from NetCommunity, but it isn't one of the items that NetCommunity posts to a gift attribute.

    Thoughts? Thanks!
