Move the attribute fields for participants directly under their address fields

Options
Can I move the attribute fields for participants directly under their address fields? When a participant registers 2 people they have to enter Registrant # 1's name and address info, then Registrant #2' name and address info, then they have to go back to Registrant #1's attributes, then Registrant #2's attributes.

Hi Robert. We did an extensive amount of user testing when we created the registration experience for events. In one of the original prototypes we tested, the event preferences section was in-line with each registrant's bio info. Surprisingly, we consistently found that it became a source of confusion! Once we dug into the issue it started to make sense. Registrants are on "mental autopilot" when they fill out their personal/bio information; we don't have to think much about what our name and address is. When they got to the preferences section, they had to stop and consider their decision (do I want chicken for dinner, or steak?) - then they had to go back to "autopilot" mode for the next registrant. When we switched the order to how you see it today, users completed the registration more quickly and with less confusion.
  • We are also having this problem. It is not an issue when there are only 2 or 3 registrants but for a family event with 10 participants, the donor is having problems figuring out which address and attribute section go with which name that they have entered.

    Is there anyway around this?

  • Hi Matthew and Blackbaud,

It would still be a very welcome option to include the attributes fields directly under their associated registrant info. While your testing results make sense, there are cases where we'd like to collect more "autopilot" info than the standard registration options allow. For instance, we'd like to collect their Title so we know to address our constituent as "Dr.," "mam" or "sir" in subsequent communications.

Is this possible? Alternatively, is it possible to add Registrant fields?
