Participant Center 2 Pagination Potential Glitch - Total Record of Contacts

Options
Hi,

We are wondering if others here have been stumbling upon the following below with their events associated Participant Center 2 instances. Here's what we have observed happening recently

Upon initial load of the Contact list within that "Email" section, the total contact records that is part of the pagination seems to be defaulting to 25 (i.e. viewing 1-25 of 25 ) thus not only that incorrectly represents the actual total contact records for those who have more just 25 contacts within their address book but also effectively disabling the ability for them to navigate through the first pagination. Only way to overcome the current problem is to "expand" the maximum records to show for that search query on that page from the dropdown.

Let me know, and we have also been in touch with Convio Support to investigate about this further. Thanks for sharing beforehand.

regards,

Daniel

  • Daniel,

This is actually a known bug (E-70088) that a number of clients have reported. Our Product Development team has developed a fix, and it's scheduled to be shipped with the Luminate Online August release.
  • Thank you Noah !!

One other question, is it going to be retroactive ? (crossing fingers here due to ours might not necessarily be of the latest version 15.7.3 but earlier v15 iterations as they were built / customized couple months ago thus correct me if I am assuming wrong).

    regards,

  • Yes, the fix is actually to the API, not the participant center -- the getTeamraiserAddressBookContacts API method incorrectly returns the number of results per page as the total number of results. This leads the JavaScript in the participant center to think there are only 25 contacts total, thus there would be no need for pagination. After the fix, the API will return the actual total, which in turn will enable pagination as needed.
  • Thanks again Noah for the clarification on that!

    regards,

    Daniel
