Constant Contact Import?

 I need some help moving contact information from Constant Contact into the Raiser's Edge. We are switching to OnlineExpress and unfortunately there is no import ID for any of the contacts. Thank you!

  • We are dealing with the same issue. We are considering moving over to Online Express, but Online Express does not allow you to use imported lists to send emails like NetCommunity does. In other words we must import all of our emails into Raiser's Edge. The majority of them are in there already, but we do have some for which we do not have names for and need to figure out a way to import them into Raiser's Edge without causing any problems later down the line.

  • Our office transitioned two different data files into RE when we implemented RE. The main files with ID#s were in a homemade database. All of my data was in Constant Contact. They had me export a csv document with all of my info, then they added a column with sequential ID #s (using a different numbering sequence than the main database). Then they imported that file in RE, attaching an attribute code so we knew which files had been imported this way. I ended up manually having to merge some records and remove duplicates. Some of the email addresses were lost in the import, so I had to manually re-enter those. But overall easier than entering the data from scratch.
