Do you allow duplicate email addresses in TR? This SDP is for you.

There is a hidden SDP that anyone who allows duplicate email addresses should know about.



The issue is that we allow duplicate email addresses in TeamRaiser, since we have a lot of children participating and the parents use their address for their kids.

 

Then later when they need to recover their password, the user can only enter their email address in the form. So the system sends the reset link for the first constituent it finds with that email address. It is therefore impossible to recover for the second user with that address.



Support didn't think there was a solution, but there is.



USER_SEND_MAX_USER_NAMES:



This hidden SDP will send a link for each account using the email address entered into the password recovery form, rather than just for the first one it finds. Perfect!
