Hi. I'm relatively new to eTapestry. I assumed that if you set up a record with parents, and then set up a child constituent with a parent/child relationship indicating that the parent is the head of household and the child is a member of the household, that the parent's address would show up in the child's record. Doesn't seem to be working that way.

 

Is there a way to share addresses between constituents where they are part of the same household?

    I think I just read the trick to this.

     

    1. Setup parent/head of household's account

    2. Create a relationship

    3. Select the related Account

    4. Add Account

    5. Under Personas, click: 'Copy Primary Persona from Related Account'

     

    This will pull in the address from the head of household. Once the relationship is saved, anytime you go into either account to update the persona, it will ask if you want to save it to the related household relationship's account.

     

    This can also be used for any relationship you setup where the accounts share the adddress: Employer/Employee, Church/Pastor.
